Clove buds are known to be an easy-to-digest spice because of their spicy taste and warming properties. In addition, cloves have good antiseptic properties if used with the right dosage. Clove buds when dried have an earthy brown color, the natural aroma is similar to the smell of wind oil but stronger. In traditional medicine, cloves are used to treat flatulence, indigestion, and cold stomach.
