Benefits: Luffa gourd is sweet, cool, and non-toxic. Luffa gourd is a source of essential nutrients for mothers, a great solution for mothers with little milk. A small Luffa gourd (about 100g) contains up to 95g of water, 0.9g of protein, 0.1g of lipid, 3g of glucose, 0.5g of cellulose, 28mg of iron, 160mcg of betacarotene and a lot of vitamins B and C... valuable source of nutrients for mother and baby to stay healthy. After giving birth, if the mother has too little milk, you can refer to the menu with Luffa to get a more abundant milk supply.

Instructions for use: Luffa gourd, also known as loofa or loofah, is a type of gourd. Luffa gourds grow about 2 feet, and the vine is very ornamental, producing clusters of yellow blossoms, in pleasing contrast with the silvery-shaded, dark green foliage. When harvested at a young stage, the luffa is edible and used in many soups and stir-fried dishes.

Luffa gourd is also the same gourd that you use to clean your body or dishes with. The loofahs in your bathrooms and kitchens are the dried-out fibrous remains of a matured luffa gourd. When left matured on the vines, luffa gourd becomes very fibrous and no longer edible. The skin is peeled away and seeds are shaken out. The fibrous skeleton that remains gets converted to a bath or kitchen sponge.

A common and quick luffa gourd recipe is a traditional Vietnamese soup 'Canh Muop Thit Bam', a soup made with ground pork and luffa gourd. It cooks up quickly, satisfies the hunger and it goes wonderfully with steamed rice.
